Els Tres Tombs 2013

On a seriously wet Sunday morning  Els Tres Tombs, the traditional procession celebrating San Anthony, patron of all animals, took place along the Rambla, watched by an umbrella holding audience.

Despite the unusual wet weather nearly 400 participants took part, mounting horses and ponies and sitting on carts piled high with classic local produce like boxes of peix blau, Moscatell, hay, kindles and crates of goats. It did not take long for the air to fill with a fine countryside whiff as the procession made its traditional three rounds headed by a statue of San Anthony with a priest, standing on a platform, blessing the animals trotting by.
