Day two of stunning fireworks displays by the beach and this time it was the turn of Marco Antonio Toste from the Canary island to put the night of Tarragona under his spell.
But this event isn’t just about mesmerizing night sky displays; in typical local gastronomic pomp you get the matching food as Arcs, AQ, Auriga, Sadoll, Quima Quima, Taller de Cuina and Racó de l’Abat from the Part Alta have grouped together to make this a high class foodie event. No chips or greasy burger anywhere in sight; on offer are classics like fideua, gastpacho. wild mushroom rice, grilled meats, pates, oyster and seafood terrines and completing the assembly on the Passeig de les Palmeres are a wine bar and a DJ.
Each plate is 5 Euros with selected wines and vintage Cava around 2 euros and it all feels like a decadent party which goes on till past two in the morning.
Down on the beach was a different story with people picnicking away in the hour leading to the beginning of the fireworks.
